Hey there, I’m Monica Govindarajan M.S., LPC (She/her)

I graduated from Texas A&M University – Commerce where I received my Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I am a trauma model therapist and my approach to counseling is holistic, personalized, and collaborative. Every individual is unique, what works for one may not work for another – through understanding, open communication, and perspective taking I work to provide a safe and non-judgmental space for you to feel comfortable in being yourself.

A little about me: Coming from an Indian cultural background, I am a culturally competent counselor and enjoy working with the BIPOC community and am an ally with the LGBTQ+ community. I value authenticity, music, art, and enjoy spending time in nature with my dog. I also love learning about cultures and new languages.

Languages I speak: English (fluent), Tamil (fluent), Hindi (proficient)

My approach to therapy

My therapeutic style is interactive, collaborative, integrative, and goal oriented from a self-empowerment framework.

In a busy and transient world, growth and change can be difficult. In your healing journey, I will encourage you to reflect on your resilient spirit to uncover your blocks to growth and work on adapting your habits towards a more fulfilling life.
